The Chinese-language website, which is titled BoWenWang (http://www.bowenwang.com.cn), features more than 1,800 informational and educational articles from HowStuffWorks.com which have been localized and translated into Chinese from English by HSW International's Beijing-based staff. Looking ahead to the August start of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, BoWenWang also includes more than 300 original articles on the history, science and business aspects of the Olympics. The website's name BoWenWang references the Chinese idiom Bo Wen Qiang Ji, which means someone with wide learning and encyclopedic knowledge.
In addition to BoWenWang, HSW International operates the Portuguese-language website HowStuffWorks: ComoTudoFunciona (http://hsw.com.br) based in Brazil. HSW International holds exclusive digital publishing rights in China and Brazil to existing and future content of the popular English-language website HowStuffWorks.com.
